2021 Richmond Heart Walk at Libbie Mill!

On Saturday, October 23rd Libbie Mill - Midtown hosted the American Heart Association’s 2021 Richmond Heart Walk, supporting its mission of building healthier lives free of cardiovascular disease and stroke. It certainly was a walk to remember, on a day that brought cool yet comfortable weather to the Richmond area. Participants, visitors and volunteers gathered at Libbie Lake Pier before the walk began to enjoy music, offer donations, chat with local businesses, and share a cup of warm coffee or a conversation with one another.

Walkers were able to choose from 1 and 3 mile routes circumventing the rapidly growing community, while the day delivered picturesque views of Libbie Lake and the abundant green places at Libbie Mill. Kids and families were even able to participate in a Heart Walk Scavenger Hunt that included spotting our local hero, Henry the Heron, who hangs out at Jordan’s Branch Creek.
